Argyrophile bodies in the human spinal cord.

چکیده

Certain argyrophile bodies have been found in the adult human spinal cord which do not seem to have been described before. These bodies occur mainly in the anterior horns of the lumbosacral region, and they have been found in every case of a large series of patients dying from a variety of conditions. The purpose of this paper is to describe and illustrate these argyrophile bodies, to discuss their significance, and, especially, to consider whether they are artefacts or whether they are pathological or anatomical structures.
